Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective technical training programs for automotive technicians.
- Conduct hands-on and classroom-based instruction covering diagnostics, electrical systems, mechanical repair, hybrid/EV technology, and vehicle electronics.
- Assess technician skills and knowledge, providing constructive feedback and performance evaluations.
- Update and maintain training materials, manuals, and resources to reflect the latest automotive technologies and manufacturer specifications.
- Operate and maintain specialized diagnostic tools, equipment, and training vehicles.
- Mentor and coach technicians to foster continuous professional development and skill mastery.
- Ensure all training adheres to safety protocols and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with service managers and technical teams to identify training needs and gaps.
- Stay current with automotive industry trends, new vehicle technologies, and service procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a certified automotive technician or master technician.
- Proven expertise in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical repair.
- Strong understanding of modern vehicle technologies, including hybrid/EV powertrains.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to simplify complex technical information for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, and scan tools.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Fluent in English and Latvian (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a technical trainer or instructor in the automotive sector.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications or equivalent international certifications.
- Formal education or certification in adult learning, instructional design, or vocational education.
