Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and readily available.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and draping.
- Monitor surgical supplies and equipment inventories, reporting discrepancies.
- Handle surgical specimens according to established protocols.
- Assist in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments post-procedure.
- Participate in team briefings and debriefings to ensure seamless surgical flow and continuous improvement.
- Learn and adapt to new surgical techniques and technologies under supervision.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
