Key Responsibilities
- Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, under the supervision of experienced technologists and radiologists.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment according to safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Position patients correctly and comfortably to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Verify patient identity and medical history, ensuring accurate procedure documentation.
- Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns and providing clear instructions to ensure their cooperation.
- Monitor patient conditions during imaging procedures and respond to any adverse reactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control policies.
Required Skills
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or eligibility to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Kansas State Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong understanding of radiographic principles, radiation safety, and patient care techniques.
