Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory control.
- Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to optimize logistics processes.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including inventory levels, shipping documents, and delivery receipts.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and security standards within the warehouse and during transit.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to manage inventory, track orders, and generate reports.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing strategies.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for domestic and international shipments (if applicable).
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate favorable terms.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for logistics and warehouse activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role (minimum 3 years)
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., ERP systems, WMS, TMS)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in logistics
