Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, identifying their needs and directing them appropriately.
- Process over-the-counter sales efficiently, operating the cash register and handling payments accurately.
- Assist patients with the collection of dispensed prescriptions, ensuring all paperwork is correct and verifying patient identity.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy counter, display areas, and general retail space.
- Monitor and replenish stock levels on shelves, ensuring products are correctly priced and displayed.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and putting away new stock deliveries, reporting any discrepancies.
- Answer telephone calls, direct inquiries, and take messages accurately.
- Provide basic information on non-prescription products and services, referring complex queries to the pharmacist.
- Adhere strictly to all pharmacy procedures, health and safety regulations, and data confidentiality policies.
- Support the pharmacist and other team members with various administrative and operational tasks as needed.
