Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy and quantity.
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects upon arrival; meticulously record any discrepancies or damages and notify the supervisor immediately.
- Sort and accurately place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined organizational standards and inventory procedures.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; precisely pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing completed orders in the delivery area.
- Perform daily cycle counts and actively assist with periodic physical inventories to maintain accurate stock records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality control, and material handling best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operational flow and achieve daily production goals.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper documentation and secure transportation of goods to prevent damage.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) as a Material Handler or in a similar warehousing/logistics role.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other essential material handling equipment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations, robust safety procedures, and industry best practices.
- Physical stamina and strength required to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing and tracking inventory.
- Good verbal communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to read and write in English to understand instructions and complete documentation.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid forklift operator certification issued in the UAE.
