We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Amsterdam. Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to all legal and ethical guidelines.
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, including information on dosages, side effects, drug interactions, and proper administration.
- Conduct medication reviews and patient consultations to optimize therapeutic outcomes and identify potential issues.
- Oversee and guide pharmacy assistants in their daily tasks, ensuring smooth and compliant pharmacy operations.
- Manage inventory, order pharmaceuticals, and maintain appropriate stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Ensure strict compliance with all Dutch healthcare regulations, pharmacy laws, and internal policies.
- Participate in health promotion activities and initiatives aimed at improving community health.
- Resolve patient concerns and complaints professionally and effectively, upholding Service Apotheek's commitment to patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the pharmacy's dispensing software.
Required Skills
- Master's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Valid BIG registration (Beroepen in de Individuele Gezondheidszorg) as a Pharmacist in the Netherlands.
- Excellent command of the Dutch language (C1 level or higher) for effective patient communication.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, drug interactions, and dispensing procedures.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first approach.
- Proven ability to work accurately, meticulously, and with a high degree of responsibility.
- Proficiency in common pharmacy software systems.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of post-qualification experience as a retail Pharmacist in the Netherlands.
- Experience with Farmacare or similar pharmacy management systems.
- Additional certifications or specializations in areas such as geriatrics, chronic disease management, or public health.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a small team or mentoring junior staff.
