Career.supersecrets is actively seeking a highly reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Catering Driver to join our dynamic team in New Orleans. As a Catering Driver, you are more than just a transporter; you are a vital ambassador for our brand, often being the first and last point of contact for our valued customers. You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of catering orders to various venues across the greater New Orleans area, ranging from corporate events and private parties to large-scale functions.
Your day will involve meticulously loading vehicles, driving carefully and efficiently through city traffic, unloading at event sites, and occasionally assisting with basic setup and breakdown of catering displays. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport catering orders to various client locations throughout New Orleans and surrounding areas.
- Accurately verify all items against order sheets before loading and unloading to ensure complete and correct deliveries.
- Load and unload catering equipment, food, and supplies from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and temperature control.
- Assist with basic setup and breakdown of catering equipment and food displays at event locations as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, including daily checks and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, food safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients, representing Career.supersecrets with a positive attitude.
- Provide clear communication with the catering team regarding delivery status, potential delays, or client feedback.
- Handle unexpected situations or changes efficiently and effectively, always prioritizing client satisfaction and safety.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience (delivery, courier, or similar).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the New Orleans metropolitan area and ability to navigate efficiently.
- Punctual, reliable, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to operate a commercial van or similar delivery vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering or food service delivery.
