Career.supersecrets is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Transport Assistant to join a thriving logistics firm based in Rubavu, Western Province. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and scheduling daily transport routes and vehicle assignments.
- Prepare, verify, and organize all necessary transport documentation, including delivery notes, permits, and customs papers.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and any operational updates.
- Track and monitor vehicle movements using available systems, providing real-time updates.
- Maintain accurate records of transport activities, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all local transport regulations and company safety policies.
- Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods.
- Respond to and resolve any transport-related issues or emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in preparing reports on transport performance, costs, and efficiency metrics.
