Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples and reagents accurately for various experiments and analyses, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and PCR machines.
- Record experimental data precisely and meticulously in lab notebooks and digital systems, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
- Assist senior researchers in conducting experiments, observing and documenting results, and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace, strictly following all safety guidelines and waste disposal procedures.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies and reagents to ensure continuous operation.
- Perform basic data entry and assist in preliminary analysis of experimental results under supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, contributing to a positive and productive research environment.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of general laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and recording data.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
