Job Description

This is an urgent and critical opportunity for individuals passionate about community development and direct impact to join a dynamic NGO team as a Field Outreach Worker in Gombe, Gombe State. As an NGO Field Outreach Worker, you will be on the front lines, directly engaging with local communities, beneficiaries, and stakeholders. Your primary role will be to support the implementation of various community-based programs, ensuring that vital services and information reach those who need them most. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals eager to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully, as comprehensive, hands-on training will be provided to equip you with all the necessary skills and knowledge required to excel in this impactful role. We are seeking individuals ready for an immediate start, eager to dive into fieldwork and make a tangible difference from day one.

You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our partner NGOs’ initiatives and the communities they serve. This involves active participation in community mobilization, awareness campaigns on crucial topics such as health, education, and livelihood support, basic needs assessments, and accurate data collection. Your daily tasks will range from conducting door-to-door visits to organizing larger community meetings, acting as a trusted point of contact and an advocate for the needs of vulnerable populations. The work is challenging but incredibly rewarding, offering a unique chance to witness firsthand the positive changes your efforts bring to individuals and entire communities. You will be instrumental in identifying local challenges, gathering feedback, and reporting back to the project team to help refine strategies and ensure program effectiveness.

We are looking for highly motivated, empathetic, and resilient individuals committed to social justice and human dignity. A genuine interest in working directly with people from diverse backgrounds, often in underserved areas, is essential. If you are a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills, a deep respect for diverse cultural contexts, and a strong sense of responsibility, this role offers an unparalleled opportunity to kickstart a career in humanitarian aid and community development. You will learn invaluable field skills, develop your capacity for community engagement, and become a crucial voice for the underserved in Gombe. This position offers a direct pathway to making an immediate and lasting difference in the lives of many, contributing to the sustainable development goals in the region. Embrace this chance to grow professionally while serving a vital mission.
