Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze samples, reagents, and media according to established protocols and project requirements.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain various laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning, cleanliness, and adherence to operational guidelines.
- Accurately record, document, and report experimental data, observations, and results in lab notebooks and digital systems.
- Assist senior researchers and scientists with experiments, data collection, and the overall execution of research projects.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks such as inventory management, ordering and stocking supplies, and proper disposal of chemical and biological waste.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations, quality control standards, and good laboratory practices (GLP) at all times.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of equipment and promptly escalate more complex technical issues to senior staff or maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory workspace to ensure a productive and safe environment.
- Participate actively in team meetings, contributing to scientific discussions and sharing insights.
- Assist in the preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of general laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in accurate data recording and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
