Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles during night shifts, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring secure transport and delivery.
- Verify accuracy of cargo against delivery manifests before and after each trip.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and clients regarding delivery status or issues.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and occupational health and safety regulations at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and tidy.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or delays immediately.
Required Skills
- Valid Code 8/B Driver's License (manual transmission endorsement, if applicable).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good physical condition to handle loading and unloading of goods.
- Ability to read maps and follow GPS directions.
