Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Plan and execute efficient routes to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers.
- Secure cargo properly using appropriate methods to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and paper logs, as required, detailing hours of service, mileage, and stops.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with dispatch regarding schedule changes, delays, and issues.
- Handle delivery documentation, including bills of lading, manifests, and proof of delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks as needed, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.

Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

- 2+ years of verifiable long-haul trucking experience
