Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly reliable and experienced Driver to join our dynamic logistics and delivery team in Abuja. This critical role involves operating a company-provided vehicle to transport goods, documents, and personnel safely and efficiently across various locations within Abuja and occasionally to nearby states. As a Driver, you will be the backbone of our operational efficiency, ensuring that deliveries are made on time, every time, and that our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. You will be responsible for conducting routine vehicle checks, maintaining accurate delivery logs, and assisting with loading and unloading when necessary. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided vehicles for the transportation of goods, documents, and personnel.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic and road conditions.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, and reporting any defects or necessary repairs promptly.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured before transit to prevent damage or accidents.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance in logbooks.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of items as required, ensuring careful handling.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Represent Career.supersecrets professionally at all times when interacting with clients, partners, and the public.
- Handle company cash or goods with utmost integrity and accountability, providing accurate reconciliation.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
- Be available for occasional extended hours or trips outside Abuja as operational needs demand.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class E or G)
- Clean driving record with no history of serious traffic violations
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and routes
- Strong understanding and adherence to road safety regulations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Punctuality and reliability
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights
