Career.supersecrets is on the lookout for a committed and reliable Full-Time Warehouse Delivery Driver to become an integral part of our Worcester team. As a Warehouse Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of various products from our Worcester warehouse to designated client locations across the Western Cape. Your day will typically begin at our warehouse, where you’ll assist with loading and organizing shipments, ensuring all items are correctly documented and prepared for transit. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, adhering strictly to road safety regulations and company policies. Navigating routes efficiently, managing delivery schedules, and handling documentation such as delivery notes and proof of delivery will be daily tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods from the warehouse to various customer locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Load, unload, and organize products in the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and security of items.
- Verify accuracy of shipment contents against delivery notes and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and driving regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing client inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and general organization, as needed.
- Manage and organize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Handle cash or process payments if required, and accurately record all transactions.
Required Skills
- Valid Code 10 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year professional driving experience, preferably in a delivery or logistics role.
- Strong knowledge of Worcester and surrounding Western Cape routes.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25kg) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Matric certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience with handheld scanning devices or delivery management software.
