Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and work areas.
- Assist senior researchers with experimental setup, execution, and data collection.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses accurately following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, observations, and results in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality control standards, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Manage laboratory inventory, including tracking supplies, reagents, and samples, and assist with ordering new materials.
- Contribute to general lab upkeep, organization, and waste management.
- Learn and adapt to new techniques and methodologies as required by ongoing research projects.
Required Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology).
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques, such as pipetting, solution preparation, and sterile techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and recording data.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and experimental protocols precisely.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data entry and documentation.
