Key Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and public areas according to established standards and procedures.
- Dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, making beds, and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchens.
- Replenish guest room supplies (e.g., toiletries, towels, stationery) accurately and promptly.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to supervisors immediately.
- Handle guest requests and complaints courteously and efficiently, escalating when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Manage cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently, ensuring proper storage, maintenance, and usage.
- Assist with laundry services as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with guests and colleagues at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping or cleaning services (minimum 6 months).
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough, meticulous approach to cleaning.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, push, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals, methods, and equipment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or other hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards specific to the hospitality industry.
- Ability to speak additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa).
