Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and dedicated IT and Cloud Administrator to join our dynamic team at our Ajah, Lagos facility. This pivotal role will be responsible for the day-to-day management, robust maintenance, and strategic optimization of our critical on-premise IT infrastructure, as well as our rapidly growing cloud-based systems. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other vital network segments, ensuring optimal performance, connectivity, and security.
- Install, configure, and meticulously troubleshoot hardware (servers, workstations, peripherals, printers) and critical software systems.
- Administer and actively monitor our cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Networking), ensuring high availability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement and manage robust cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data encryption.
- Perform regular, comprehensive system backups and meticulously plan and test disaster recovery protocols for both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Provide expert-level technical support and training to end-users, proactively resolving IT-related issues promptly and efficiently.
- Continuously monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime and optimize resource utilization.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems and applications, adhering strictly to security policies.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to research, implement, and integrate new technologies and innovative solutions.
- Accurately document IT processes, system configurations, and standard operating procedures for enhanced knowledge sharing, compliance, and auditing purposes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) administration and Active Directory management.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) administration.
- Proven experience with hardware troubleshooting and maintenance for servers, workstations, and network devices.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and tools (endpoint protection, intrusion detection).
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSA, CCNA, or Azure/AWS certifications.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for task automation.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework principles and service management.
- Previous experience in a logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain environment.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
