Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport various goods and packages to designated locations within Kirehe and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety standards at all times.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing navigation tools as needed.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Collect payments from customers (cash or mobile money) accurately and record transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a polite and professional attitude during interactions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues.
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the motorbike and ensure it is in good working condition; report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
- Represent the partnering businesses professionally to enhance customer satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Valid Rwandan Class A motorbike driving license.
- Own motorbike in good working condition (preferred, but options may exist for company-provided for exceptional candidates).
- Proven safe riding record with no major traffic violations.
- Excellent navigation and route planning skills.
- Strong sense of punctuality and time management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and basic record-keeping.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with using GPS and mapping applications on a smartphone.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 6 months of professional delivery or courier experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Kirehe, Eastern Province, and its local road networks.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda; knowledge of English is a plus.
