Key Responsibilities
- Perform general site clean-up and debris removal to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to various areas of the job site manually or with basic machinery.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., carpenters, electricians, masons) with tasks as needed.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Prepare work sites by setting up and tearing down temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth as directed.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines meticulously to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Perform other labor-intensive tasks as assigned by the site supervisor or project manager.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and a reliable, punctual attendance record.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and the willingness to adhere strictly to them.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
