Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping operations, under direct guidance.
- Learn and apply best practices for inventory management, ensuring accuracy and optimal stock levels.
- Monitor workflow and assist in assigning tasks to warehouse associates to meet productivity targets and deadlines.
- Support the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in training new team members and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Help resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems to senior management as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company standards for quality control and operational efficiency.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) after proper certification and training.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse processes and productivity.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
