Are you an experienced, reliable truck driver passionate about long-distance haulage? Career.supersecrets is seeking dedicated individuals to fill immediate openings for long-distance routes, connecting vital supply chains across Rwanda and potentially the wider East African region. We are looking for professional drivers who embody safety, efficiency, and exceptional roadcraft.
In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods, operating modern heavy-duty vehicles over extensive distances. Your day-to-day will involve critical responsibilities such as meticulously pre-inspecting your vehicle for mechanical soundness and safety, planning efficient routes while adhering strictly to traffic regulations and company policies, and accurately completing all necessary logbooks, manifests, and delivery paperwork. Beyond the wheel, you’ll be expected to safely load and unload cargo, secure it properly, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on the road. Maintaining clear communication with dispatch and clients, especially regarding delivery schedules or unforeseen delays, is paramount. This position requires a strong commitment to cargo security and compliance with all road transport laws.
To excel in this role, you must possess a valid professional driving license (Category C or equivalent), a proven track record of at least 36 months (3 years) of long-haul driving experience, and an impeccable safety record. Essential skills include a deep understanding of vehicle mechanics for basic troubleshooting, excellent navigation and route optimization abilities, strong communication skills, and the physical stamina required for extended periods on the road. Familiarity with Rwandan and East African road networks and regulations is a significant advantage.
