We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our dedicated team as Banquet Setup Staff/ Sales Personnel at Whispering Palms Resort. As a key member of our Banquet Setup Staff, you will be responsible for preparing and arranging our diverse event spaces to impeccably high standards, ensuring every detail aligns perfectly with client specifications and the resort’s renowned quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently set up banquet rooms, conference halls, and other event spaces according to detailed floor plans, client specifications, and resort standards.
- Meticulously arrange tables, chairs, linen, place settings, centerpieces, and all necessary equipment with precision and a keen eye for aesthetic detail.
- Install, operate, and troubleshoot basic audiovisual equipment (e.g., projectors, screens, microphones, sound systems) as required for various events.
- Ensure all event spaces are spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and perfectly prepared for guest arrival, performing pre-event checks.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the catering, kitchen, and event management teams to ensure timely and smooth event execution from start to finish.
- Efficiently and carefully break down event setups after conclusion, and properly store all equipment, furniture, and décor, reporting any damages or missing items.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities for the resort's banquet and event services through market research, networking, and outreach.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, providing comprehensive and detailed information about our facilities, services, and packages.
- Conduct engaging and informative site inspections for prospective clients, effectively highlighting the resort's unique offerings and competitive advantages.
- Prepare customized proposals, contracts, and impactful presentations that meticulously meet client needs and align with resort revenue objectives.
- Skillfully negotiate terms and close sales agreements, consistently striving to meet or exceed individual and team revenue targets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business, referrals, and long-term partnerships.
- Actively attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the resort and gather market intelligence.
- Provide valuable market feedback and competitive analysis to support strategic sales planning and product development initiatives.
- Utilize CRM software to efficiently manage leads, track sales activities, forecast pipelines, and generate comprehensive reports.
