Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, both internal and external, to ensure security and detect any potential threats.
- Monitor surveillance equipment (CCTV) and alarm systems, responding promptly to alerts or suspicious activities.
- Control access to premises, verifying identification and ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter.
- Respond effectively and professionally to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security breaches.
- Write detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation as required.
- Deter criminal activity and unauthorized entry through visible presence and proactive measures.
- Assist in the protection of company assets, property, and personnel.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to staff and visitors when required.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding).
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly disciplined.
- Basic first aid knowledge (certification preferred).
- Physical fitness to perform duties including prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role (e.g., retail, corporate, or events security).
- Experience with CCTV monitoring and alarm response systems.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation training.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Knowledge of local security regulations and protocols in Northern Ireland.
