Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and other nursing interventions, under the supervision of senior RNs.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments accurately and timely.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA and patient safety protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and continuing education programs.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients.

Required Skills

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
  • Strong foundational knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Basic computer proficiency for electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
  • Prior clinical experience gained through nursing school rotations or volunteer work.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or willingness to obtain within first 6 months).
