Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, always maintaining client dignity.
- Assist with safe client mobility, transfers, and positioning, using appropriate equipment when necessary.
- Administer medication strictly according to care plans, training, and company protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals and support clients with feeding, ensuring adequate nutrition and hydration.
- Conduct light household duties to maintain a clean, organised, and safe living environment for clients.
- Engage clients in stimulating social activities, conversations, hobbies, and community outings to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Observe and promptly report any changes in client health, behaviour, physical condition, or overall well-being to senior staff.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date care records and documentation.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and company procedures.
- Foster open, empathetic, and effective communication with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Skills
- Genuine compassion, patience, and strong empathy for others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dedicated care team.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and commitment to providing consistent, high-quality care.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles within a care setting.
- Willingness to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
