Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, thorough site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement within the industrial estate.
- Develop, implement, and continuously review comprehensive health and safety management systems, procedures, and safe work practices tailored for diverse industrial operations.
- Lead and manage all incident investigations, including near-misses and accidents, performing root cause analysis, and recommending effective corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Design, organize, and deliver engaging safety training programs, workshops, and induction sessions for all employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure the proper maintenance, inspection, and certification of all safety equipment, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire suppression systems, and emergency response tools.
- Maintain meticulous records of all safety-related activities, incidents, inspections, training, and regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with management, department heads, employees, and external regulatory bodies to foster a strong, positive safety culture across the industrial estate.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on the safe use of machinery, handling of hazardous materials, and implementation of new work processes.
- Prepare and submit detailed periodic H&S performance reports to management, outlining key metrics, identified risks, and proposed improvement initiatives.
- Stay abreast of the latest national and international health and safety legislation, industry standards (e.g., ISO 45001), and best practices, ensuring continuous compliance and improvement.
