Key Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for testing, including sorting, logging, and labeling according to established protocols.
- Assist Medical Laboratory Scientists and Technologists with routine tasks, such as preparing reagents and maintaining equipment.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of laboratory equipment, glassware, and work areas.
- Maintain accurate records of samples, tests, and results, both manually and using laboratory information systems.
- Manage inventory of lab supplies, stock shelves, and notify supervisors of shortages.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, quality control standards, and infection prevention procedures.
- Transport samples and materials within the laboratory or to other departments as needed.
- Handle biohazardous materials and chemical reagents responsibly, following all safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless workflow and collaborative support.
