Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
- Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Conduct financial analysis, provide insightful reports on financial performance, and advise management on strategic financial decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and investment activities to optimize liquidity and returns.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Evaluate financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar senior financial role for at least 5 years.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting (IFRS/GAAP).
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
