Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic logistics team in Gwagwalada, Abuja. This pivotal role involves the safe and timely transportation of goods, documents, and personnel using a company-provided vehicle. As a Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are executed efficiently, securely, and in compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. You will navigate various routes within Gwagwalada and potentially other parts of Abuja, ensuring all documentation related to deliveries and vehicle usage is accurately completed. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-owned vehicles in a safe and responsible manner to transport goods, documents, and occasionally personnel.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic and road conditions.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, documenting any mechanical issues or damage.
- Ensure the vehicle is always clean, well-maintained, and fueled, reporting any service needs promptly.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Adhere strictly to all national and local traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the logistics coordinator, clients, and other team members regarding delivery status or issues.
- Assist with other operational tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-player attitude.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of Gwagwalada and major routes within Abuja.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret maps, GPS devices, and delivery instructions.
- Good physical condition to handle loading and unloading of goods.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
