Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review local policies, strategies, and procedures in line with national legislation and local needs.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Manage allocated budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring fiscal responsibility and value for money.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform decision-making and propose innovative solutions to local challenges.
  • Represent the local authority at regional and national meetings, workshops, and forums as required.

Required Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of local government structures, legislation, and public sector operations within the UK, specifically Wales.
  • Demonstrable experience in project management, policy development, and service delivery within a public sector context.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
