Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate and schedule transport logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing routes and methods to meet delivery timelines and cost targets.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including inventory levels, shipment details, and delivery proofs, utilizing relevant software systems.
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, proactively addressing any delays, discrepancies, or issues that may arise.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, transporters, internal departments, and clients to ensure smooth communication and resolution of logistical challenges.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and security protocols within the warehouse and during transit to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations, identifying and investigating variances to maintain stock integrity.
- Prepare detailed reports on logistics performance, including delivery rates, inventory accuracy, and operational costs, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Support the negotiation of favorable terms with logistics service providers and continuously seek opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce operational expenses.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of logistics strategies that align with company goals and improve overall operational effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain coordination, preferably in a professional capacity.
- Proven ability to manage inventory systems and coordinate complex shipping and receiving operations.
- Strong understanding of logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of local and national transportation regulations and safety standards.
