Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, pallet jack) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload products and materials.
- Perform daily pre-operation safety checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs immediately.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and containers, ensuring accurate count and proper documentation.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas, including storage racks, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Execute proper inventory rotation practices (FIFO/LIFO) and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Verify product quantity and quality against shipping documents and report discrepancies.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet operational targets.
Required Skills
- Valid Forklift Operator certification/license from a recognized authority in the UAE or equivalent international certification recognized in the UAE.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and proficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling best practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent spatial awareness and coordination.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for inventory counting and documentation.
- Commitment to punctuality and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with inventory management systems (WMS) or barcode scanning technology.
- Knowledge of multiple forklift types (e.g., narrow aisle, order picker).
- First Aid and Fire Safety certification.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
