Job Description
We are seeking a highly compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Pediatric Nurse to join a vibrant healthcare team in Dibba Al-Fujairah, Fujairah. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents, from preventative health to managing acute and chronic conditions. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will be the primary point of contact for families, offering education, emotional support, and clear communication regarding treatment plans and child health. Your day will be dynamic, ranging from administering medications and monitoring vital signs to performing specialized pediatric procedures and assisting physicians during examinations. Empathy, keen observation skills, and a gentle approach are paramount in this role, as you will often be working with children who may be frightened or in pain. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, therapists, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments according to prescribed orders and established protocols.
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and document all relevant information accurately.
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medication administration, and home care instructions.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting physicians during medical interventions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment in the clinic or hospital ward.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and modify individualized care plans.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to children and their families, addressing their concerns and anxieties.
- Respond to emergencies, performing resuscitation and other life-saving measures as necessary.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and patient privacy.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid DHA/HAAD/MOH license or eligibility to obtain one
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse
- Proficiency in pediatric assessment, medication administration, and emergency care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine love for working with children.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Experience in a specialized pediatric unit (e.g., NICU, PICU, oncology).
- Fluency in Arabic in addition to English.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
