Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and identify patient needs, developing individualised treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy.
- Educate patients and their families on conditions, rehabilitation processes, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with professional and organisational standards.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including audits, service evaluations, and professional development.
- Adhere to professional codes of conduct, ethical guidelines, and health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives within the physiotherapy department.
Required Skills
- BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy
- Current HCPC registration
- Demonstrable experience in assessing and treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and clinical reasoning abilities
- Commitment to patient-centred care
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate training or specialisation in a particular area of physiotherapy (e.g., sports injuries, neurological rehabilitation)
- Experience with electronic patient record systems
- Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
