Career.supersecrets is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join their expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and respiratory conditions. You’ll work closely with patients to develop personalised treatment plans, utilising your expertise in manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and patient education. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and identify patient needs, developing individualised treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy.
  • Educate patients and their families on conditions, rehabilitation processes, and self-management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with professional and organisational standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including audits, service evaluations, and professional development.
  • Adhere to professional codes of conduct, ethical guidelines, and health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives within the physiotherapy department.

Required Skills

  • BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Demonstrable experience in assessing and treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and clinical reasoning abilities
  • Commitment to patient-centred care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate training or specialisation in a particular area of physiotherapy (e.g., sports injuries, neurological rehabilitation)
  • Experience with electronic patient record systems
  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
