Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, student-centered English language lessons across various proficiency levels (beginner to advanced).
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments in accordance with curriculum guidelines.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technology to cater to diverse learning styles and maximize student engagement.
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, tests, assignments, and active participation, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues and academic management to enhance curriculum and share best practices.
- Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions to continuously improve teaching skills.
- Provide guidance and support to students regarding their language learning journey and cultural adaptation in the UAE.
- Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures, including those related to student welfare and academic integrity.
Required Skills
- Native or near-native English proficiency (C2 level or equivalent).
- Proven experience in teaching ESL/EFL to diverse age groups and proficiency levels.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in creating engaging and interactive lesson materials.
- Familiarity with various ESL teaching methodologies and assessment techniques.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Internationally recognized ESL teaching certification (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, TEFL).
