Job Description

Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Lab Technician to join our innovative Research & Development team in Kuje, Abuja. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior researchers and lab technicians with the preparation of samples, reagents, and media for experiments.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks including cleaning glassware, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining a tidy work environment.
  • Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, balances, and microscopes.
  • Accurately record experimental data, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols rigorously to ensure a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
  • Support inventory management by tracking supplies, notifying senior staff of low stock, and assisting with restocking.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding experimental design and results interpretation.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of scientific principles and laboratory practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated commitment to laboratory safety and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or HND in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
