As a Luggage Porter, you will be the first point of contact for many guests, embodying the warm and welcoming spirit of the establishment. Your primary role will involve assisting guests with their luggage upon arrival and departure, ensuring a seamless and comfortable transition for all visitors. This includes safely transporting bags to and from rooms, assisting with vehicle loading and unloading, and providing courteous support with any travel-related inquiries. Beyond luggage handling, you will also play a crucial role in maintaining the pristine appearance of the lobby and entrance areas, offering directions, and providing local recommendations to enhance guests’ stay in one of London’s most iconic districts. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and departure, offering immediate assistance with luggage.
- Efficiently and safely transport guest luggage to and from rooms, vehicles, and storage areas.
- Assist guests with general inquiries, providing accurate information about the hotel services, facilities, and local attractions in Borough Market and wider London.
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming lobby and entrance area, ensuring all public spaces are clean and organized.
- Handle special requests from guests professionally and efficiently, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of tour buses and taxis, ensuring guest comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain luggage trolleys and other equipment safely.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with front desk, concierge, and housekeeping teams to ensure seamless guest service.
