Career.supersecrets is actively seeking a highly reliable and skilled Driver – Logistics & Delivery professional to join our team, operating a company vehicle. This critical role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods, packages, and sometimes personnel across various locations within Lokogoma and the broader Abuja metropolitan area. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle integrity, and upholding the highest standards of customer service and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle for the transportation of goods, packages, and personnel.
- Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation, including proof of delivery.
- Perform routine vehicle checks (tyres, brakes, oil, fuel, lights, etc.) and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or potential delays.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Assist with warehouse tasks or other duties as assigned when not on delivery routes.
- Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean and presentable at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class B or G)
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3 years
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks, especially Lokogoma and surrounding areas
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 25kg)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility and reliability
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Proficiency in using GPS devices and navigation apps
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/GCE/NECO)
- Previous experience in a professional logistics or delivery role
- Defensive driving certification
- Experience with various types of delivery vehicles (vans, trucks)
- Familiarity with inventory management procedures
