Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular outreach activities in the Brixton community, engaging with residents in various settings.
  • Build rapport and trust with individuals, particularly those experiencing vulnerability, homelessness, or social exclusion.
  • Assess individual needs and provide information, advice, and practical support on a range of issues (e.g., housing, benefits, health, employment).
  • Refer individuals to appropriate internal and external services, ensuring smooth transitions and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions and outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with local agencies, community groups, and internal teams to coordinate support.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision sessions.
  • Advocate for the needs of community members to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging community needs and contribute to the development of new programs and initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safeguarding policies and professional boundaries.

  • Fluency in an additional language commonly spoken in the Brixton area (e.g., Portuguese, Spanish, Yoruba).
