Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Direct and coordinate the work of subcontractors, craft workers, and other site personnel, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety briefings and thorough inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues proactively, and develop effective solutions to keep the project on track.
- Conduct thorough quality control inspections to ensure all work meets required standards, building codes, and client expectations.
- Manage on-site logistics efficiently, including material delivery, secure storage, and optimal equipment allocation.
- Maintain accurate daily site logs, comprehensive progress reports, and essential project documentation for record-keeping and accountability.
- Communicate effectively and transparently with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates.
- Resolve on-site conflicts or challenges efficiently and professionally, minimizing disruptions and maintaining productivity.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to site staff, promoting skill development and a positive, productive work culture.
- Assist in meticulous scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and regular inspection of all equipment and tools on site.
- Oversee site security measures and ensure proper closure procedures are followed at the end of each workday.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in construction site supervision, particularly in residential or commercial building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and comprehensive safety regulations (e.g., local Nigerian standards).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in reading and accurately interpreting blueprints, schematics, and complex construction drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems effectively and make sound decisions under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of project scheduling methodologies and budget management principles.
- Strong organizational abilities and exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for efficient reporting and documentation.

- Bachelor's degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.

- First Aid and CPR certification.
