Career.supersecrets is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Gardener to join a private residence team in the prestigious Lekki Phase 2 area. This unique live-in opportunity provides not just a role, but a holistic living experience, including room and board. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learning the art and science of maintaining beautiful private gardens, from lush lawns to intricate flowerbeds and ornamental plants. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily watering, fertilizing, weeding, and pruning of plants, shrubs, and trees.
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools, ensuring their proper use and care.
  • Mow lawns, edge pathways, and trim hedges to maintain a neat and aesthetically pleasing appearance.
  • Monitor plant health, identify common pests and diseases, and report findings to senior gardeners.
  • Assist with planting new flowers, shrubs, and trees according to landscape designs.
  • Clear debris, sweep pathways, and ensure the garden and surrounding areas are always tidy and free of litter.
  • Help prepare soil beds for planting and apply mulch as needed to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
  • Support senior gardeners with larger landscaping projects and special tasks as required.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and environmental best practices while working in the garden.

Required Skills

  • A genuine passion for gardening and working outdoors.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
