Key Responsibilities
- Perform real-time transaction monitoring and analysis to identify suspicious patterns and potential fraudulent activities.
- Investigate and resolve fraud alerts and cases, documenting findings thoroughly and accurately.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Compliance, Risk, Legal, Customer Service) to escalate and manage complex fraud cases.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of fraud detection rules, systems, and procedures.
- Analyse data to identify emerging fraud trends, vulnerabilities, and prevention opportunities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on fraud incidents, trends, and risk assessments for management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and new fraud typologies.
- Provide training and guidance to team members and other departments on fraud prevention.
- Assist in the recovery of funds lost to fraud where applicable.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fraud detection, investigation, or risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in using fraud detection tools and systems (e.g., transaction monitoring systems, case management platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex issues clearly.
