Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process all cash, credit, and debit card transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide outstanding service with a positive attitude.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
- Handle cash and electronic payments securely, adhering strictly to company policies and procedures.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Resolve customer complaints or refer them to a manager when necessary, always striving for customer satisfaction.
- Scan goods, ensure proper pricing, and apply discounts or promotions accurately.
- Assist customers with bagging items and ensuring a smooth, efficient checkout process.
- Stay informed about current promotions, product availability, and company policies to better assist customers.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a cohesive work environment.
- Contribute to maintaining overall store cleanliness and organization, especially during peak hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager, contributing to the general success of the outlet.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer service role is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
