You will be responsible for optimizing delivery routes, negotiating with transporters, and monitoring fleet movements to guarantee timely and cost-effective distribution. This includes addressing any logistical challenges that arise, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, and proactively implementing solutions to mitigate future occurrences. Effective communication with drivers, warehouse staff, and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, is paramount to success in this role. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, reconciliation, and implementing inventory control procedures.
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with transporters, drivers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Track and trace shipments, providing real-time updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Resolve logistical issues, discrepancies, and customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations, including manifests, waybills, and delivery notes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, transportation laws, and company policies.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-boosting strategies.
- Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and service levels.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management.
