Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and speciality drinks, adhering to the café's recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently, maintaining an organized till and processing payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including work surfaces, seating areas, and restrooms, throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves, monitoring supply levels, and notifying management of low stock.
- Educate customers on menu items, coffee beans, and brewing methods, offering recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive working environment.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a café setting.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
