Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods, documents, or personnel to various destinations within Abuja and surrounding areas.
- Plan and execute delivery routes effectively to ensure timely arrivals and adherence to schedules.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered.
- Ensure the security and proper handling of all transported items, following established company protocols.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients, colleagues, and the public.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as required, ensuring proper packing and securing of cargo.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and in good working condition at all times.
- Provide logistical support as needed to enhance overall operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G minimum)
- Minimum of 2 years professional driving experience in Abuja
- Clean driving record with no history of serious traffic offenses
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks and traffic regulations
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read maps and use navigation systems effectively
- Physical stamina to handle long driving hours and some lifting
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (e.g., tire changes, fluid checks)
