This is a freelance opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate Photographer specializing in both event and commercial photography. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, vision, and deliverables for events and commercial shoots.
- Plan and execute photo shoots, including scouting locations, setting up lighting, and directing subjects as needed.
- Capture high-quality images using professional-grade equipment, adapting techniques to suit various environments and styles.
- Perform comprehensive post-production work, including culling, colour correction, retouching, and final image optimisation using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Manage and organise digital assets efficiently, ensuring proper backup and archival procedures.
- Deliver final edited images in specified formats and within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain professional communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated with the latest photography trends, equipment, and editing techniques.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in event photography (conferences, weddings, parties) and commercial photography (product, corporate portraits, marketing).
- Advanced proficiency with professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, and associated equipment.
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-processing and editing.
- Strong understanding of lighting principles, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing relevant work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with video production and editing is a plus.
- Owns a comprehensive kit of professional photography equipment.
