Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Construction Supervisor with a proven track record in site oversight to join our dynamic team. This critical role involves leading and managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. As a Construction Supervisor, you will be the linchpin between project plans and their successful execution on the ground, making critical decisions and fostering a productive work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate all on-site construction activities from inception to completion.
- Ensure strict adherence to project blueprints, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations (OSHA, local standards).
- Manage and mentor site personnel, including sub-contractors, skilled laborers, and support staff, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions proactively.
- Oversee the scheduling, delivery, and proper usage of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, documenting site activities, resource utilization, and any deviations from the project plan.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among all project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, architects, and clients.
- Implement and enforce site security measures to protect assets and personnel.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are in place and adhered to.
- Manage site logistics, including site layout, temporary facilities, and waste management.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to reinforce safety protocols and awareness.
- Address and resolve any on-site conflicts or challenges promptly and efficiently.
- Verify the quality of workmanship and materials, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on project status, risks, and performance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or similar role in building construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, local building codes).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
